Day of the chemical worker

On the last Sunday of May Kazakhstan celebrates the Day of the chemical worker also known as the Day of the chemist. Chemist's Day is a holiday that unites professionals, students, postgraduates, teachers, and graduates of all generations. This day is always celebrated brightly and cheerfully. Chemistry graduates are invariably in demand in science, industry and business.

Chemists, engineers and laboratory assistants work in workshops and analytical laboratories at the enterprises of «NAC «Kazatomprom» JSC. Many of them graduated from the faculty of chemistry and chemical technology of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which is the oldest university in the country, founded in 1934. The faculty has a glorious history, is proud of its teachers, achievements of employees and many graduates, whose names are inscribed in the history of our country and are known to contemporaries.

Currently, the faculty of chemistry and chemical technology continues these traditions.
